HOME STYLE

My 20-month-old daughter Avery, aka my little assistant, goes to daycare a few days a week. On the days that she is home with me, she likes to help me by answering all my calls (speaking loudly and incoherently into my phone or anything else she pretends is a phone), taking notes (scribbling on any piece of paper laying around the house-usually something important!), and making cameos in any outfit shots I’m trying to take. I love getting to spend my days with her, she’s so funny and she loves to snack as much as I do!

On the days Avery is home I need to be ready to have anything and everything spilled or wiped on me! My clothes can end up covered in yogurt or milk depending on the day and I spend an insane amount of time picking things up off the ground, which is when the mom jeans come in handy! Right now, Levi’s 501 jeans are being rocked by everyone from Bella Hadid to Kristen Wig and they are making the mom jeans look really freakin cool! I love my skinny jeans but let me tell you something about a high waist- if you have a child under the age of 5, a high waist is your best friend because of the amount of times you are bending down to pick something up. You don’t have to worry about readjusting your jeans or your underwear showing when you bend down! They are great!

I suggest going down a size from what you normally wear if you want a slimmer fit. Otherwise for a more relaxed boyfriend look wear your normal size! They look great styled with a bodysuit and cute belt or a sweater tucked in like I show here.

What do you guys think of high wasted jeans? Let me know in the comments below and have a great rest of your weekend!

Sincerely,

Your Friendly Neighborhood Stylist!
